I have been groomed by a family of licensed cosmetologists, barbers, and a host of varies entrepreneurs. I am a true artist with many trades! The barber and hair salons business came natural to me even as a child. My first job at age five was sweeping the floors and folding towels at my grandmas’ shop, Brown Sugars’. She is super sweet with a hint of spice! She always would say, “Girl you’re going to be just like ya grandma”! Later, I advanced to the shampoo pool and scheduling appointments which is where I earned my beauty shop name, “Sugar Brown”! I guess my handling techniques were as professional and sweet as hers! She taught me everything she knew from the artistry to business. Of course, during busy shop talk and close observation, I developed an eye for perfection.

With my experience, class, and gleaming from other great barbers and stylist from within their hair studios, I decided to take a leap of faith which lead me to The Kreative Kay!! I currently service both men, women, and children. I do professional color couture, braids, twist, silk press, cuts (with designs), styles, custom Kreative Kay wigs, etc.

All the while, I’m an active full-time mother of two beautiful boys, and the grind doesn’t stop!
